Lagree is a high-intensity, low-impact workout that builds strength, endurance, stability, and muscular control. Classes use slow, intentional movement and spring-based resistance to keep your muscles working continuously—creating the signature shake without high impact on your joints.
-
No. While Lagree and Pilates may look similar at first glance, they are different methods performed on different equipment. Lagree combines strength, endurance, cardio, flexibility, and body composition into one efficient workout. At Lagree Durham, classes are performed on the Mini Pro—not a Pilates reformer.
-
Absolutely. Our classes are designed to challenge experienced clients while remaining accessible to beginners. Your instructor will explain the equipment, guide your form, and offer options to adjust the intensity. The workout is meant to be challenging, but you are always encouraged to move at your own pace.
-
For your first class, please arrive at least 10 minutes early so we can introduce you to the Mini Pro and help you feel comfortable before class begins. Returning clients should arrive about five minutes early. First-time clients who arrive after class has started may not be permitted to participate because the equipment orientation is essential for safety.
-
Wear comfortable, breathable workout clothing that allows you to move freely. Bring a water bottle and grip socks—grip socks are required for all Lagree classes for safety and stability. If you do not have a pair, they will be available for purchase in the studio.
-
If you are new to the method, two to three classes per week is a great place to begin. Because Lagree challenges the muscles deeply, recovery time is important. As your strength and endurance improve, you can adjust your schedule based on your goals and how your body feels.
-
Please consult your healthcare provider before participating and obtain clearance when appropriate. Let your instructor know before class so they can offer suitable modifications. If you are pregnant and completely new to Lagree, we may recommend beginning with a private session to become familiar with the equipment and method.
-
Clients must be at least 16 years old. Anyone under 18 must have a waiver and any required studio agreements completed by a parent or legal guardian before participating.
-
Reservations must be changed or canceled through your Lagree Durham account or app within 12 hours of class. Late cancellations and missed classes may result in the loss of a class credit or a fee, depending on your plan. For safety and to avoid disrupting class, late entry may not be permitted. Please review our full Studio Policies for current timing, fees, and waitlist procedures.
-
Recovery20 is a reservable 20-minute compression boot session designed to support circulation and post-workout recovery. Sessions may be booked separately and are a great addition after class. Availability is limited, so we recommend reserving your session in advance.
